Introduction: As I reflect on the recent discussions surrounding our healthcare system in Canada, including a compelling article in the Global Mail and shared sentiments from the healthcare community, it's clear that we are at a critical crossroads. The challenges and strains on our healthcare infrastructure demand immediate and decisive action, and as a member of this community, I feel compelled to speak out.
Thank you Dr K. Your ideas will help in the short-term for sure. PPPs take time and must be effectively governed through solid agreements with outcomes objectives. And I will come back to my issue, we need to substitute some capital (MedTech, AI, etc) that integrates into clinical workflow as we must acknowledge that over the long-term, we cannot replenish to historic levels in terms of health Human Resources. As well, self-care and the consumerization of delivery will ultimately make us all more accountable for our choices leading to our health outcome for issues that are preventable.
