It’s about taking ownership of your health, showing courage in the face of challenges, and striving to be your best self, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Today, I want to honor someone who embodies this every single day: my wife, Catherine Kyeremanteng.
Catherine is the definition of Gyata Strong. Her journey has been one of resilience, self-determination, and unwavering commitment to her health and well-being. Like many women, she experienced the challenges of perimenopause—poor sleep, brain fog, weight gain, and a sense of not feeling like herself. But instead of letting these symptoms hold her back, Catherine took ownership of her health and made meaningful changes.
She began with lifestyle adjustments—improving her diet, prioritizing exercise, and continuing her yoga practice. She then sought out additional solutions, educating herself and taking the necessary steps to feel like herself again, including pursuing hormone replacement therapy (HRT). It wasn’t an easy journey, but Catherine’s courage to take charge of her health and make informed decisions reflects what Gyata Strong is all about.
Today, Catherine is thriving. She is not only an amazing mother to our three children but also a brilliant psychologist, neuropsychologist, and yoga instructor. Her ability to balance her professional and personal life with strength and grace inspires me every day. Watching her transformation has fueled my passion to advocate for better care for women during perimenopause and menopause, as I’ve seen firsthand how life-changing the right support and resources can be.
